Cenote Angelita, located south of Tulum, is a favorite of photographers and videographers. The spooky gray floor beneath the diver in this image is not solid — it is a cloud of dissolved hydrogen sulfide gas. Hydrogen sulfide is poisonous, but hovering over it, or passing through it for a short period of time will not injure divers.
