TECHNICAL DIVE TRAINING

NITROX

If you are curious about tec diving or want to enjoy extended dive times within the no-deco limits, a nitrox certification is the place to start. The benefits of nitrox are so great that it’s our standard breathing gas at the shop! Combine this short course with cavern dives, and reap the benefits of nitrox for the rest of your dive career.

INTRO TO TEC

Ready for a challenge? Learn the basics of tec diving and become a safer, more controlled, and more knowledgeable diver. Tec diving is more than just redundant gear – it’s a philosophy, a style of diving. This course refines your buoyancy and propulsion techniques while building the core skills required for all other tec courses.

ADVANCED NITROX

Learn to use different gas blends to maximize your dive times without the need for decompression. Just one stage bottle is enough to extend your dive times significantly! This entry-level tec course enables you to use gas blends of up to 100% oxygen, and introduces techniques that will improve all aspects of your diving.

GO DEEPER

DECO PROCEDURES

Ready to go deeper, longer? If your dive objectives lie outside the recreational limits, if you have a lust for depth, you will eventually find yourself pushing the no-decompression limits. The ocean is so big, and the recreational dive table is so small — see what’s beyond the RDP by learning to safely execute decompression dives.

EXTENDED RANGE

If you are certified in decompression procedures but 45 meters still isn’t enough, add one more deco bottle and drop a bit further into the darkness. The extended range course falls between deco procedures and trimix in TDI’s tec training progression, certifying divers to descend to 55 meters using up to three gas blends.

NORMOXIC TRIMIX

Clear your head. Helium blends reduce narcosis and improve ease of breathing on deep dives. With trimix, everything about deep diving is better: from your ability to react to emergencies to your ability to remember the dive. This course trains divers to descend to up to 60 meters on trimix blends containing no less than 18% O2.

AND EVEN DEEPER

ADVANCED TRIMIX

There’s deep, and then there’s trimix deep. The Advanced Trimix Course certifies divers to descend as deep as 100 meters/ 330 feet. This is serious stuff: to avoid oxygen toxicity and narcosis you’ll learn to breathe gasses that are not breathable on the surface. Your reward? The opportunity to be one of the few humans on the planet to visit the deep.

TEC SIDEMOUNT

If you are certified in decompression procedures but 45 meters still isn’t enough, add one more deco bottle and drop a bit further into the darkness. The extended range course falls between deco procedures and trimix in TDI’s tec training progression, certifying divers to descend to 55 meters using up to three gas blends.
